KULDEAP PRASAD

INDUCTEE 2007

Dedicated administrator and organizer of the sport in New York

Krish worked hard and his love of play ultimately catapulted him from No. 12 position to that of opening batsman. His organizational, motivational and fundraising skills were devel- oped due to his unbinding dedication and love of the game.

Largely through Krish’s overall
devotion to cricket, Everst
ultimately became one of the
most competitive teams in the
New York area currently playing
in the Masters Tournament in
New York. His efforts were recognized as early as 1985, when he was unanimously elected President of the Everest Cricket Club for the first time, a position he has held ever since.

Krish’s undeniable dedication to the sport of cricket and his selflessness, rapidly earned him the recognition, respect and admiration of cricketers through the New York region, as a result of which he was repeatedly elected to the position of President of the Easter Ameri- can Cricket League in 1998-2001, 2005 and 2006. The countless hours Krish spends in raising money for the sport, his tireless efforts to develop young talent as well as showcasing senior talent, resulted in his being named as Chairman of the New York Cricket Region in 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007.

In 1999 and 2000, Krish was chosen by the Presidents of the majority of the United States Cricket Leagues as a member of the Board of Directors of the United States of America Cricket Association. Krish was the only representative from the United States, along with the President of the USACA, sent to the ICC cricket conference at Lords, England in 2000.

In addition, Krish was named Chairman of the New York Ed Ahamad Caribbean Cricket

Tournament (formerly Red Stripe competition) from 2003 to present. Krish and his committee have been responsible for securing funding organizing nad overseeing the highest level of cricket played in the U.S., a tournament which includes competitors from the Caribbean, Pakistan and India. Edul Ahmad’s funding of the competition and Sewdar Shivnarain’s contributions have helped make this tournament the most anticipated cricket event of the season.

In his spare time, Krish makes his living as the Eastern Seaboard and European supervisor of training and engineering for American Airlines. Krish is married to Jessie. They have four children, Haresh, T ara, Kumar and Dharana, all of whom understand why their husband and father is so devoted to the sport and ideals of cricket.
