Ten students completed a Mindfulness, Visualization, Emotional Intelligence Training. The students used the Winning Strokes book to do their research.

Winning Stroke
The beginning of the book describes the way in which one can prepare to accomplish things–routines one can adopt in order to better the probability of their success. The book goes into detail about the two minds, subconscious and conscious, and essentially the anatomy of the brain. Having the ability to master both minds is exceptionally helpful when it comes to achieving one’s goals. Many think about previous moves when they really should focus on the current moment as dwelling on the past may hinder performance. Meditating helps one to focus on the task at hand and thus get in the zone. Getting in the zone helps to get you in the best mindstate which leads to better performance. Imagining performance in mind, essentially visualizing the goal, will help you act it out. You need to think before you act always. Sometimes you can act out of anger and not do exactly what you meant. During the day you should take mental breaks so that you can gather your thoughts. Visualizing the best outcome can lead to it coming to fruition. Another very important component to improving performance is correcting any past faults. Practicing is one of the most trusty methods of refinement. One of the main ideas of The Winning Stroke is that thoughts impact the way in which one performs. Clearing your thoughts and envisioning your goal is a steadfast way to achieve.
The book also states that you should always have a plan. Majority of the time the A plan never works. You need a plan for everything in life. The book talks about needing to be mindful and to meditate. This book is an important read as it provides insights, not just into the world of business, but also other facets of life.These techniques can be used in other areas of one’s life as well: sports, relationships, and education. In terms of career, it teaches how one can successfully develop and run their own business through their mindset. Michael Chambers describes how one can essentially transform their life and achieve great success through mental training. This book taught me a lot personally which is why I enjoy reading it. This book really showed me how much I go through in life and how much I take it out on others. I have to be mindful and meditate.

I enjoyed reading this book because the material is easy to grasp and includes things anyone can easily implement in their day to day. It’s not hard to include meditation or mindfulness into your daily routine to attain your desired outcomes.
