Shafiq Jadavji, Class of 2022, Founder and President of Johns Creek Cricket Association (JCCricket)

Shafiq Jadavji is the Founder and President of Johns Creek Cricket Association (JCCricket). He is passionate about developing the sport of Cricket in Johns Creek. In addition to JCCricket, Shafiq also co-founded Cricket America to promote the sport across the country.

Over the last 25 years, Shafiq has been leading teams, organizing cricket camps and tournaments throughout the United States to nurture the sport. During the last 6 years, he has dedicated his efforts to create awareness of Cricket in Johns Creek and empower the City’s leadership and the community at large to embrace Cricket.

Shafiq is an engaged member of the Johns Creek community. Currently, Shafiq serves as member of the Johns Creek Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee (RPAC) and Board Member for the Johns Creek Arts Center (JCAC). Shafiq is also an active leader of Leadership Johns Creek (LJC) and has been instrumental in assisting the City with the annual John Creek International Festival.

Shafiq regularly attends Johns Creek City Council Meetings to keep the Council abreast of JCCricket’s activities, request funding for additional cricket infrastructure and highlight the impact JCCricket is making to the community.

Shafiq is frequently covered in the news media for his efforts in developing Cricket in Johns Creek. The Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC) did a cover story on Shafiq in December 2020 highlighting his effort to make Johns Creek a home for Cricket.
