Cricket fans are invited to Atlanta , Georgia for the third annual Desmond Lewis Masters T20 tournament to be played on May 28 – 30. The tournament is a tribute to the life and legacy of former West Indies and Jamaica cricketer , the late Desmond Lewis. Proceeds from the event will go to the Desmond Lewis Foundation.
The tournament is staged by the Desmond Lewis Masters Association and will feature six teams/clubs competing for championship honors in a T20 format. The six teams, Desmond Lewis Masters; Atlanta Masters; Orlando Masters; Fort Lauderdale Masters; North East Masters and Forever Masters will compete in a round robin format with the top two teams contesting the final set for Sunday, May 30. There will be live TV coverage and live entertainment.
Jermaine Lindo, president of Desmond Lewis Masters Association and Curtis Clarke, Cricket Hall of Famer and manager of North East Masters, expect the tournament to generate interest among cricket fans of all ages and further aid in the development and promotion of the game in the USA.
On Saturday night May 29th there will be an Awards banquet at the Palmetto Event Center, 4411 Covington Hwy. Decatur GA, honoring outstanding performers from the local 2021 season.
