She decided to embark on her journey towards a degree in journalism, migrating to Toronto in order to attend Seneca College. Currently, she is working from home in Connecticut, producing a weekly podcast where she hosts discussions highlighting black women in North America and our history.
While residing in the diverse and exciting city of Toronto, Ontario, Tishina was crowned Miss North Toronto World 2019 and top 15 at the Miss World Canada pageant, top 10 in Miss Canada 2021, as well as top 3 in Miss Grand Canada 2021. When Tishina isn’t focusing on higher learning, competing in pageants and exalting the voices of her peers, she loves to give back to her community. An organization that is near and dear to her heart is Feed it Forward and Eva’s shelter. She likes to use her free time to help in the fight against food waste and child homelessness.
Tishina loves meeting new people, hearing different perspectives and learning about new ways to be an asset to her community.
