Trudyann Mullings and Natasha Mclean visit Hall

On Tuesday, July 13, 2021 Trudyann Mullings and Natasha Mclean paid a visit to the Cricket Hall of Fame, in Hartford Connecticut. Both ladies played in the recently completed Maryland Women’s T20 Tournament July 10-12, 2021.

The ladies flew up to Baltimore from Jamaica on Thursday July 8, 2021.

Both ladies represented the SAMP ARMY WOMEN TEAM of North Carolina.

Natasha a wicket keeper and batswoman scored 90, 123 not out, 43, 40, 67 not out, and won three Woman of the match Awards. Trudyann Mullings a right arm medium pace bowler took 6 wickets in the competition.

During discussion and listening to Natasha’s commentary on the CWI Women’s encounter with Pakistan Patrick Hamilton, Sports coordinator for Sportmen’s Athletic Club was very impressed with Natasha’s knowledge of the game. Natasha visited Keney Pak Cricket Field Thursday evening and enjoyed a pleasant evening of dominoes. She presented a coaching session at the Park on Friday morning from 7:30am to 9am.

Chambers, Executive Director of the Cricket Hall of Fame, believes Natasha who plays for the West Indies and Trudyann who plays for Jamaica both are very talented. Natasha’s absence from the CWI team is disappointing.

With Mindfulness, Visualization, Emotional Intelligence Training coupled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder counseling Natasha and Trudyann could both be permanent fixtures for the next ten years on the CWI squad. The Cricket Hall of Fame promises to invest in the welfare of both players. It is about time CWI invest in the mental and emotional wellbeing of all their players.

The members at the Sporten’s Club hosted Natasha, at the club, Friday evening from 9pm until midnight where she enjoyed their “crab fest”.

She returned home to Jamaica Saturday morning.

It is rumored that Natasha will return to Hartford, during her free time, to Captain the Sportmen’s Athletic Club coed team, as their wicket keep middle order person.

We wish both ladies lots of prosperity.
